Xbox OR PS2 ?

I'm in a real fix !

I can't decide between the 2.

PS2:

1) Alot more titles
2) Has Dragonball Budokai 3

Xbox:

1) Has better engine
2) Inbuilt HDD - No Mem Card needed

Each one is a pro - con for the opposite.

Anyone able to help me out with this decision?

The games that I'd be playing will prolly be as follows:

1) 1v1 Tekken Tag, Dragonball etc.
2) Kart simulations - Crash, Pacman etc.
3) Sports - Fifa, NFL, NHL
4) Adventure - Crash 3, Crash 4, Max Payne type

What now? I tried looking up a few titles for the Xbox and PS2, but they weren't uptodate on the database.

Wtb help!
 
Do humanity a favor and buy a PS2...it may not be as good as the xbox performance wise, but it sure beats the heck outta it with its HUGE library of games...
 
I'd suggest a ps2 too.. (coz I have one ;))

The Game library is just great.. and no RE4 or God of War on the XBox
 
Based on the games you seem to be intreseted in, PS2 would be the only choice. Otherwise they're both good in their own ways.
 
Actually, the whole Crash Series is available on Xbox too.

But One Piece, Naruto, DragonBall Budakai 3, Pacman World 3, Pacman Kart Racing (Expected in a month) and what not, I'm inclined to go towards the PS2.

But, but ... the gaming engine! QQ
 
sorry, but why buy a generation of consoles that are already on their way out?

invest in an xbox360, or the PS3 if you can wait.
 
I have my reasons, it's why those 2 above are the only feasible options. It's a choice between to the 2, period.

Well, anyone know if I can test out the 2 at some store? Haven't seen a store out here that has a PS2 or Xbox on display, I wanna compare the 2 first hand.
 
if that's the case, i'd opt for the xbox ahead of the ps2... like u said, better graphics engine, plus it can be modded not just to play ISOs but also run homebrew software like media player for divx/xvid clips etc... thus serving as a complete home entertainment solution besides just being a gaming machine..

anyway, most of the commonly popular titles are available on both ps2 and xbox platforms today e.g. EA Sports games, Winning Eleven soccer series, GTA etc... not to mention they look spiffier on the xbox ;)
 
But he also seems to be after games(I have no idea why) based on animes which mostly appear only on the PS2 and GC.

DBZ B3 is way history. Now is the time for two new DBZ games :

Super DBZ (From the creators of Street Fighters 2!) (Released and Gold already)

And

DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2 (has 129 characters so far and still developing!) (Coming up on Wii and Ps2 only. Wii will get it next year mid, while Ps2 is to get it just two months from now)

So if you happened to be looking to playing DBZ games, you'd have to do with Ps2.
 
I played DBZ : B3 2 weeks ago on a friends PS2. I'm not one for DBZ games, but damn that game rocked.

And I'm not going for "only" anime oriented games, but yes, those caught my fancy while I was doing my own research.

Tekken is not based on any anime, neither is Pac-man World 3, or Pac-Man World Rally, Tekken 5, or I-Ninja!

And yes, I did read bout DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2, it has both Player vs Player and a 60 level based single player version.

No clue 'bout Super DBZ though.

But yeh, most of my game choices are only available on PS2, though playing DivX movies on the Xbox sounds hot.

QQ I'm so confused :(
 
Get the PS2, simple as that.Unless you wanna buy the xbox for the soul purpose of getting a bit more shine on specular surfaces in games.

The PS2 has a free online service for online gaming, but the xbox live hasen't come to India as of yet.

Get the PS2, for DBZ's sake :p (Another HUGE fan here :D).The games avaliable for the PS2 definatly makes up for the so called 'lower end specifications'.
 
Go with PlayStation 2 with ur eyes closed and here's why :

#1 : I am not sure if u have seen the silver PS2 Slim.....but man it Rox !! It Looks better then any other console !! Infact I am Thinking of selling my black PS2 Slim and get that Beauty !

#2 : Awesome Game Library !! I am not sure if u have seen my Upcoming PS2 games Thread....... anyways I'll bump it for u !! But seriously if u r into anime or platform based games then PS2 is the answer for u !

#3 : PS2 is Cheaper then Xbox ! Not by much but still ! And also Repairing the PS2 is easier then Xbox !

Also I wanna tell u that there is not a Huge graphical Difference B/w xbox and PS2 ! The only difference being that Texture is a Little sharper on the xbox ! And i am sure Graphics r not that imp for u else u would have purchased a gaming PC !

#1 who told u that Xbox has better game engine ?? Its a Known Fact that PS2 game engine is much better then Xbox , thats the reason u dont see many platforming games on xbox ! Xbox has better graphics ~ Ya , But better engine ~ Hell NO !

#2 : Believe me thats not an issue ! I own more then 50 PS2 Games and 2 memory cards r sufficient for me ! Xbox's Hdd is a waste unless u use it to store movies and stuff.....

So in the end i will advice u to get a silver PS2 slim ( Looks will Kill )! And PS2 is definately not Dead .... there r still somne Gr8 upcoming games like WWE Svr 2007 , splinter cell double agent and God of war 2 ! :D

So, PS2's Online service is active in India, Mumbai atm? o_O

Sorry u can't go Online with Modded PS2 and Pirated games in India ! InFact even with an orignal PS2 u can't go online in INDIA ! The same is the case with xbox ! Infact xbox is not even officially Released in India so no question of xbox Live !
