Up for sale is the YAMAHA RX V361 1080p Receiver. Working fine with tv's of 1080p but for 4k tvs, you have to use optical and only use for audio.

Price is 5k + shipping and only local Bangalore. I don't have the box, so shipping carries its own risk, you can come checkout and take it. Priced it low to let it go as soon as possible

Just wanted to mention that using a HDMI duplicator or audio extractor, one can take full advantage of HDMI audio to the extent that the AVR supports, even with a 4k display.

I have a rx-v475 I was using like this for a long time. Later upgraded to a denon, but the other setup is very much usable.

HDMI arc should work on 4k tvs. It will use up a hdmi slot on the tv but you can still plug 1080p devices to the receiver.

I'm using my htr 2072 with a 4k tv (3 hdmi ports) through hdmi arc for sound only. This is the only wire connecting them and tv remote volume also works on the receiver. My receiver has busted hdmi video out but somehow arc still works. I needed more hdmi ports so bought a 5 port 4k60 orico hdmi switch.

I have Sony IV300. It supports playback of TrueHD and DTS. I recently purchased a LG Qned.
HT cannot output 4k to TV. TV cannot pass through TrueHD or even DD+ to HT. So I ended up buying an Orico adapter. It takes my Firestick as input, that I already own. One output goes to TV, takes the 4K HDR/DV content. 2nd output takes the pass through audio to HT. Problem solved. I can retain my HT for few more years now.

yea, for now managing with optical cable but will get the hdmi splitter. taking this off sale. @puns please close this thread.
