YOU tele blocking torrent speed

Hi

Today i got my 512kbps connection from youtele but the speed of torrents on u torrents is not more than 5kbps. The torrents have more than 200+ seeders. One is from a private tracker with good speed and the other one is ubantu. I am from chembur(mumbai). Dose any one have any idea how to overcome the problem?:huh::huh:

This youtele from their website seem to be an ISP with NAT kind of status i.e. they provide internet access to various users from same IP address and use firewalls on their main servers. Also some ISP's use bittorrent bandwidth throttling.

First of all check that you are reachable on bittorrent network and the icon in the middle of the status bar of utorrent is not always red (it must turn green...even if for sometime). If it is always red...then you have NAT problems.

To know if you have an ISP with firewall on their NAT servers...call their customer care and tell them that your torrent downloads are slow and they should do something about it. Tell them you are downloading Ubuntu Linux by torrents and the speeds are sh!t. Blast them off...it works sometimes.

To beat bittorrent bandwidth throttling by your ISP...enable protocol obfuscation or protocol encryption from your bittorrent client settings and change your ports randomly.
