Hi,

I was thinking of buying the zotac 560 ti amp edition and read on reviews this card demands just about more power then gtx 570 , i have taken a vx550.

Will this psu be able to run my rig.
Current specs
Phenom x4 965 BE
2*2gb ram (wil become 2*4gb after some time)
vx-550.
Gigabyte 785gmt-usb3h.

Hmm, keeping power consumption levels in mind, I think the HD6950 would be the BEST choice for you right now.

HD6950 1GB comes for 13.5k

HD6950 2GB with custom coolers come at 15.5k upwards

nope not interested in ati :( , not a nvidia fanboy but i was using hd 5770 and i felt smthign was missing dont knw xactly what , so will buy a nvidia 560 ti normal edition or a overclocked edition depending on the replies here.

^^ What was missing, elaborate please? I too have a HD 5770 HAWK and apart from Witcher 2 which slows my card to a crawl no real problems even Crysis 2 behaves well.

i think he is telling about physx which is supported only by nvidia. btw not all games games use physx, maybe 1-2 games comes a year. but ati has got more vfm than nvidia. now its your choice.

It was nothing related to performance ....... yea physx is 1 of the things but dont know what was missing , maybe the color reprdouction by nvidia i felt is better :/

The card is awesoem no doubt on that gets awesome fps at 1400 by 900 and manages to play most at 1920 *1080 but still i want to try nvidia now . Yea 6950 is avaiable at almost similar price but isnt the OC gtx560 give almsot similar performace to 6950 stock ?

Yep go with the 560 , I am also slightly biased towards nvidia , dont want to buy an ATI card and then get stuck with their legendary drivers :P

AMD's graphics drivers are many times better than nVidia drivers will ever be.

Here are the nVidia graphics cards options anways, choose whatever suits your budget best:

MSI GTX560Ti 1GB Twin Frozr II @ 13.9k

MSI GTX560Ti 1GB Hawk @ 14.5k

Zotac GTX560Ti 1GB @ 14.3k

MSI GTX560 Ti 1GB Twin Frozr II GE @ 15.6k

Zotac GTX560Ti 1GB AMP! @ 15.6k

Yup amd may be better than nvidia i am not doubting the same , just that i want to try out nvidia after sticking with amd for a year .

Not biased towards nvidia but just want to give it a try.

Thanks compaddict for the detailed options provided.
