Yes it does require some time and effort, but if you are interested then it's definitely worth it. If you are not familiar with setting up and maintaining a planted tank setup then what I would suggest is to follow and learn from the basics and up. YouTube is your go to place for it. I follow channels like George farmer, MJ aquascaping, aquarium co-p, md fish tank etc. Mayur dev is a must follow youtuber from India.
This is my fourth planted tank. Previous ones were all failures. They all failed due to lack of of maintenance and patience. Once you begin, You will definitely face issues with your tank. Having patience and not giving up is the key. Not compromising on the setup chain is also very important.
CO2 life will depend on the set drop rate and per day duration. I am running a 2kg cylinder at 4 drops per second for 6 hours. Should last 5 months atleast going by the pressure readings.
