This is for my friend..He isnt planning to add any gfx card.and no over clocking..WIll the 2500 suffice ..i think this comes with HD2000 ..K comes with HD3000..will 2500K give significant advantage..The pricing diff is hardly 400-500..and will getting a 3570K be good..

The best pricing i am getting for a i5 2500K is 12.5 + 5%..and for 3570K is 14 + 5%..Is it OK?Thanx in advance..

Intel Core i5 2400 ~10.5K OR i5 2500-11.5k
Intel DH67BL-B3~5.6k ORGigabyte GA-B75M-D3H-4.6k
G.Skill RIPJAWS OR Corsair XMS3 2GB x2 ~1.5k
Segate 500GB 7200RPM-3.8k
Corsair CX430V2-2.1k
NZXT Gamma ~2.4k OR Zebronics Bijli~1.2k
Dell ST2220L ~8.5k[22" Full HD Monitor]
IBall Nirantar 620VA-2.4k
Logitech K200 Combo~0.7k
Since your friend isn't overclocking the K series proccy is of no use.The IGP of Intel i5 2400 would be good enough to watch HD movies but for gaming i'd recommend external gpu-Sapphire HD5670-4.5k.
Hope this helps.:)

but for gaming i'd recommend external gpu-Sapphire HD5670-4.5k.

Sorry for thread jacking, but i see everyone recommending the 5670, even though the 6670 is available at almost the same price.
am i missing something? is 5670 somehow better? on the specs i think 5670 is 400 stream processors while 6670 has 480. is that not worth spending a few hundred bucks extra?

The HD6670 does perform better than HD5670,The prices of HD6670 recently came down to 5k or so.The HD5670 was suggested as the cheapest good option for OP requirement. If he'd wanted to game more i'd suggested HD6670 or HD6770 for sure.Hope this clears things.

@cricfan better than going for Intel at this price point will be a RIG based around AMD's Llano chipset --

AMD A8-3850 ~7000/-
GIGABYTE GA-A75-D2H ~6800/-
Corsair Vengeance 4GB x2 ~3700/-
Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 TB ~5000/- OR Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB ~4000/- [OR consider a second hand hard-drive from the Member's Market]
HP [boxed] optical drive ~1000/-
NZXT Gamma ~2800/- [from Golccha I.T. Trade on S.P. Road] OR Cooler Master eLite 361 ~3000/-
Corsair CX v2430W ~2700/- OR Seasonic S12II 520W ~4000/-
DELL ST2220L OR BenQ E2220HD ~8500/-
APC BR650VA-IN ~2800/-
LOGITECH Wireless desktop starter edition ~1100/- OR LOGITECH K200 multimedia desktop ~700/-
[no need of a discrete GPU as the iGP on board the APU processor should be enough for all needs inclusive of gaming but if you demand better GPU performance you can add a HD 6670 and enable Hybrid CrossFire]

Hope this helps, Cheerio!
