Alternatives to the pana lz 10 ?

having a tough time locating the lz10 in mumbai

and am on a budget close to 9 ks

what are the other offerings in the similar price range tht are equally good if not better..

called up few shops listed on compare india for lz10 in mumbai....they sayin its discontinued and offering panasonic fs 42 at arnd 8ks

so ma really in fix guys..
am thinkin of gettin a
canon a1100is
or panasonic fs 42
wht say guys?

ps: cant buy the cam online...need it asap

Many listings are there for around 6.7K and you can avail 10% coupon or Diwali gift with it
 
FS42 is very similar indeed AFAIK, but it's not worth the price compared to LZ10. You compromise 1x optical zoom and ~1.5k for Li-ion batteries in FS42.

If you can't have LZ10, then I would say go for FS42. Again only Panasonics shoot at WVGA (848x480 at 30 FPS) in this price range, if i'm not wrong. So it's better you get FS42 if Videos are important for you.

i like the fact tht it can capture vid in 16:9 ratio ..

which other cams in the same range are good ?

hows canon a1100 is

also kodaks new cam...c190..the specs seem good for the price.. ..its just for 5ks..
