got my new 2GB kit last week,
with asus p5 wdh deluxe mobo i am unable to boot up.

somehow the board is not recognizing the memory.

i have tried setting voltage upto 2.3 (required is 2.2)
tried SPD and manual timings (5-5-5-18)
still no luck :(

question is, if board supports 800Mhz (atleast officially) then will a 1066Mhz Ram run @800 Mhz underclocked? or will it be like i have, No Boot!

can boarders with P5W DH Deluxe share their views ?

i need to check these chips on another board. any recommendations ?

Regards

Try using some other sticks and see if its gettin booted..
Maybe d ram may have problems but tats remote..
If d system boots with d other test ram, try updatin d bios.. And then use d corsair sticks and see if it works.. I'd suggest u get another mobo instead.

PS: why this mobo anyway? Even if it was meant for a audio-video workstation, u Could've opted for a p35 chipset mobo instead..

Yeh,
i have been using this mobo for abt a year now. DDR 667 works perfect, can OC them to 800 stable.
ive recently got the corsair sticks. mobo upgrade is not in sight anytime soon.
i need to check these sticks with someone who has a mobo with 1066 support.
:( i always thought higher ram's shud be able to work on lower freq's, atleast transcend does!
