I am looking to buy a single slot graphics card, preferably HD4850 or higher.
I do not need the dual slot version as I need to be using both the PCI 1.x slot next to the PCI-Express slots.

I just bought a Sapphire HD5770 card which is a dual slot card and I have not used it. I can trade this if you are looking for a HD5770 card. My card is is in brand new condition.

I have 2 Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 1GB (2GB total)single slot cards running in croosfire, both cards are about 8-9 months old. your budget is very low for either of them.
 
yes its good for HD4850 with 512MB memory, not for 1GB 4850s that too single slot Sapphire, the new one still retails for Rs.9200/- (if found).

single slot has lower resale :p

4870 512 is selling around 6k so 4850 even 1gb should be < 6k depending on warranty .

HD5750 is more or less equivalent to 4850 in performance

HD 5450 is much lower then 4850 in overall performance

For specific video editing performance, i have no idea
