Unlocking the Focus is pretty simple, straightforward and cheap. Anyone can do it :) You just need to buy an unlock code which is also sold on ebay.com

I have recently purchased Samsung Focus from ebay.com auction. A great amount of help was provided by agantuk and RVK2488 answering my queries.

My phone has been shipped to SnS US office and is on its way to India.

The only issue I encountered was when I started to actually bid for the it, a lot of sellers put a condition that they will ship only to confirmed paypal address. That is a real problem, as SnS or ICCWorld address will always be shown as unconfirmed. That put off my bidding/purchase for about 8-10 days. But soon I got a couple of chances to bid for brand new pieces and finally I won one for $177.50+$6 shipping.
