does att/tmobile branded phones have any problem using the bbm and bis services in india.

Also do they support 3g in india.

There is no problem with foreign Branded BB. All BIS and BES works fine. Only issue is with Verizon's CDMA Global Blackberry Phone. i.e. 9930,9630,9650 etc. Verizon branded BB have problem with Blackberry activation on Vodafone network.

ATT/T-Mobile works fine. I am using T-mobile branded 9780.

I am using a AT&T and T Mobile unlocked BB on Vodafone so no issues with activation. Though you need to pay extra 299/- apart from the normal BIS tarrif of 499/- for getting 3G speeds.
