BOOTMGR is missing

I have a Toshiba satellite laptop. I was trying to use system recovery but it failed because laptop wasnt able to read the second recovery disk.

So i though i should start load vista from vista installation dvd. Even if i the vista disk is in the drive and I have set up the boot device priority to dvd drive. It gives me the error BOOTMGR is missing. And asks for a restart.

Please help to install windows.

Thanx

If bootmgr is missing, you need to copy + paste the bootmgr file from another machine, or do a system recovery / fresh install of the operating system from CD. recovering from partition will not help! :bleh:
