Compatible mobo suggestions needed

I have E6550 Intel processor with DG33FB intel motherboard.

Motherboard has gone kaput. So will it be a good idea to get new motherboard + DDRIII ram and putting my 3 year old E6550 processor on it? If so please suggest motherboard.

Or second option i am considering is going for new setup with new proc+mobo+ddrIII ram.

Please advise...
 
Your mobo is DDRII right? Then why jump to DDRIII band wagaon now. There is not much of a performance improvement with DDRIII in LGA-775 based systems as they support only low speeds of DDRIII.
The best and cheapest option is the Gigabyte G41M-ES2L ~ 2.3k
Whats the main purpose of the rig? If planning to upgrade then mention the budget and rest of specs. According to http://www.techenclave.com/pc-buying-advice/template-what-should-i-buy-use-143714.html
