They are good, but overpriced. Hopefully their entry would make CCD and Barista better (and cheaper, may be?).

I am not sure about the overpriced stuff , baring a few local coffee shops and udippi restaurants selling filter kafeee every other chain has gone to the dawgs :| .CCD sells crap, Costa Coffee has become way too overpriced :\. There's only Gloria Jeans which has some good coffee .

I tried out Starbucks today and wasn't expecting it to be upto the one I had tried in HK but didn't come out disappointed , the java chip frappuccino was actually pretty decent , even more impressive was the decor , ambience , attention to detailing at the store and the Singapore sourced cheerful staff which made the coffee with joy . Much better experience than most local folks who work at the store with a dull face as if they are forced to do it . :p *Ohh and yeah we got some really good complimentary chicken sandwiches and appetizers as well* so overall happy with the visit :D If they continue the same service , I would definitely prefer it over other limited options available.
