I decided to buy the Corsair 12GB DDR3 XMS3 kit to use with Gigabyte EX58-UD5 board. I read on various other forums that Mugehn-2 or Prolimatech Megahalems will cover the RAM slot closure to CPU.

I am in dilemma to find out another cooler that will fit in with my HW.
Need opinions on Noctua CPU Cooler.

Is any one using this combo (Gigabyte EX58-UD5, Corsair 12Gb XMS3 and Noctua)

i installed the noctua u12p-se today on a gigabyte ud5 board on which i was using with 12gigs gskill ram. the xms has a similar heatsink & will be no trouble to install the noctua.
on a different rig i am using the same 12gigs ram on ud5 with the true installed & no issues there either.

you might run into a problem when you use ram which has a taller heatsink, like the dominator & the pi series.

In all probability the Mugen 2 will block the first memory slot adjacent to the sink. Check out the images floating in the WWW.

I'd say pick the Noctua amongst the two. Almost similar performance without sacrificing the memory slot.
