CPU/Mobo gigabyte warranty query

One of my friend's MoBo isnt working..IS the bill necessary to avail warranty ?.It has been 1.5 yrs since purchase...samething with AMD 945 cpu...is the bill needed for that??
 
Not sure where you are located, I had a Gigabyte couple of years back, I took it to the service center at Kalina, no questions asked, they just check the warranty from the S/N number on the board
 
Not required. They check serial no from the board. They gave me a refurbished (working) mobo even when my old one was out of warrantee! This was in nehru place delhi though.
 
Thanx Guys..I am from Blore.Will ask him to visit the service center...SMPS went bad..and supposedly took Motherboard with it..Hopefully CPU is fine..
