Sorry, was on a trip to corbett..:)
so couldnt help you..

It is suggested that you increase your budget for the GPU..
and get a HD 5670 ~ 5.2k..
it will serve your needs perfectly and will be futureproof too..

For the PSU..if cannot buy it right now, let it be..but do plan on changing it to a better branded one , something like a gigabyte superb 460..
that will insure that your rig runs safely..

Try getting a second hand HD 4670..many are using them...
so you might get lucky if someone plans to sell..

Its an amazing card for its price..
can play the latest games @ med-high settings..
so you will be happy with it..:)

Your best option is to get a HD 5770 and a gigabyte superb 460 PSU..
you will need to shell out a little more than 11k for this..
but this is highly recommended..

Re: The Graphic Card Advisor

You really should go with a 5770 at the slightly higher price. A 5750 won't last for long if you game seriously at higher res.

Depends on the kind of games you are playing on, if your HD4850 is able to hold its own, I suggest wait because once the mainstream Fermi cards are out you should see more performance per $.

Since, you only need it for your prof. work..
i guess you could do with a nvidia quadro card..
In India, companies like leadtek sell nvidia quadro products..
so its best to pick up a quadro card in range...something like a FX380..

Looking at your budget, your best bet is the HD 5670..
and it will work for casual gaming perfectly..
but the thing is, it is sort of a downgrade from the HD 4850..

If you are okay with it, that it wont be an upgrade..go for it..it will satisfy your needs..
or else, you will need to increase your budget..:)

I suggest you to forget about S.P. road, get it online, it'll still be cheaper than S.P. road for most of the item.

Yes leadtek is a brand like you mentioned.

As suggested by Draglord, the best buy in that budget is the HD 5850, but you will need to change your PSU for that. As CM 600w is not reliable enough.
So get a HD 5850 ~ 16k
and a good PSU, somewhat like a Corsair VX 550...a Corsair VX450 to be minimum..which will cost you around 4k..

A version lower than the FX380 is FX370, and a FX370 LOW PROFILE edition is also there..which is a bit slower than the normal one..

I have a little less knowledge when it comes to quadro..:ashamed:
i did a lot of googling around and am convinced that quadro is the one to get over geforce if maya and other 3d work is to be done.
