How to connect ps3 to LCD monitor ?

Planning to connect ps3 to my LCD monitor. Can you tell me how to make a component to dvi connection ?

If your monitor has a dvi connection then get a hdmi to dvi wire.

Can you please give the link of your monitor. If you had a hdmi slot on the monitor itself then why the query?

There's something wrong. Did you try setting the resolution manually from the console? What display is this?

How did you connect it through DVI port ? hdmi setup is working fine . planning to upgrade monitor soon !

@neojjjk - Before proceeding check if your monitor is HDCP compliant. If it is a simple HDMI to DVI-D cable will do the trick for video.

I think I have manually set the the resolution to 1920x1080 on my monitor despite it's native resolution being 1680x1050.

The only 2 games I have problems with are - Virtua Fighter 5 and Gran Turismo 5.
In Virtua Fighter 5 a bit of the screen goes outside the bounds.
In Gran Turismo 5 I get a letter box effect.

Neither of them are deal breakers though.
