I want to find out the SATA capability of my laptop. How to do it?

My Chipset is Intel GM965 - Rev C0

All the new SSD are 2.5", they can fit in notebooks. Also SATA III is there with SNB machines. So its a matter of just replacing the device.

If you have use for a SSD go for it. IMO, it will not saturate the SATA II link completely ~ 3Gbps OR [STRIKE]375[/STRIKE] 300 MBps max.

Its 3Gbps or 300MBps. SATA uses an 8b/10b encoding scheme.
