I would like to know if HP has any model in 13 inch. Also i would like to know the best 13inch model in India. Apart from Dell XPS 13 inch version which is too expensive. maximum budget can stretch to 45000. i know there is a dv2 with external dvd writer but some friends are saying it wont be able to handle office applications and multi tasking smoothly. is this true? what games can be played on it? it has a 512MB graphics card also. should i go for it?

Try a netbook from Acer/ Dell Vostro/ Dell Latitude.

The HP dV2 carries a newer low power chip from AMD. NOTE that this is NOT a normal dual core processor and hence is a 'comparatively' slower processor.
The Vostro 13 will come in the same or even lower price range (considering the HP is 45k). Performance (excluding games) will be much better. You can also get the Vostro with a graphics card included as well. I am not sure on the cost. Anywhere between 40-50k range I guess.

Get it ONLY if form factor is very very important since its performance is nothing to write home about. Even battery life is strictly average.

It comes in 2-3 standard configs though.
Also, look at the Studio 14 as well. Thats a good laptop too
