Hello TE.

I am using MTNL broadband connection via my MTNL DNA-211-1 wireless modem and MTNL MT 882.

My wireless modem had some problem with ADSL so I am using the bridged connection (Connecting both modems with Ethernet cable and getting the Wireless signal from DNA - 211-1 and ADSL works on MT882)

This setup works perfectly on my Laptop, however I face problems when I try using WIFI of my Samsung Galaxy S phone on this setup. The Phone is able to connect to WIFI but I am not able to browse any websites.(However the internet works fine on my laptop).

Now what my observation is when I open 192.168.1.1 from my laptop it opens up the MT882 modem's home page and when I open the above IP from my Samsung Galaxy, it opens the home page of DNA-211-1 Wireless Modem.

Guys I need your help on this. Please advice how can i get my Samsung Galaxy connected to internet through WIFI....

Check for any NATing done, also configure DNS in your Samsung, either the actual one like 202.56.215.54 or use the modems gateway as DNS

no Natting done.

DNS settings have been corrected.

However, when I enter modem's gateway, the WIFI connection is lost.

Here are the details that I entered.

IP address --> 192.168.1.3

Gateway --. 59.180.226.114

DNS --> 59.179.243.70

try setting the ip of the wifi modem as 192.168.1.2 or something else

and set the dns and gateway settings as 192.168.1.1 (your modem) on the galaxy s since the dhcp server should be running on that
