7690 is good, but I would suggest you to have a look at Asus N55sf. Beats the above laptop overall with goodness of FHD display @ 67k.

btw the Asus model you mentioned has been discontinued. If you are getting the old stocks, try to grab them at good prices. SMC hardly updates their old stocks. Do contact them. However the replaced model is Asus K53SM-SX016D.

But you will miss out 1080p, a noticeable difference is graphics and a blu ray drive. Your choice buddy
