Video LCD TV as a monitor

I am planning to buy a LCD TV which I would like to use as a monitor. But would like to know if they can be used as good monitor alternatives? My budget is around 30K.

Go for LG80FR, but if I were you, I would've picked Dell Monitor rather Dell UltraSharp U2410WFP (24"), it cost around Rs. 28,500/-

There are some HDTV monitors recently launched by samsung

one is a 23" - P2370HD with steer price of abt 14.5 I think Review

they have larger sized ones on their site.

I use my 46" Samsung 6000 series for playing back HD videos. While the videos themselves look awesome, the text on the desktop / windows etc looks a bit crap and not as good as on my 22" Benq LCD monitor.

Make sure that the TV's edge sharpening is defeatable. I know for sure it ain't on Sony Bravia.

Its is defeatable on all sony bravias with BE3.
