Hi guys. I need some major help from you networking wizards out there.
This is my setup
Mtnl (DNA-A213 Modem)->ASUS N13U REV B1->PC

My problem is this
1)I want to run the asus in AP mode but then i cant login to it through my browser
2)if i run it in router mode and let it automatically determine internet settings then i get higher pings
3)if i run the asus in router mode with the mtnl in bridged mode then i cant login to the mtnl modem through my browser
4)i want to assign a static ip to my pc so that i can use it with XBMC remote.
5)my windows is set to obtain all ip addresses automatically

Guys your help would be much appreciated. @dinjo

Why do you want to login to modem ?

Why not use Mini DLNA ?

if i keep the mtnl modem in bridge mode then i cant connect my phone to the xbmc controller.
so im back to running it in AP mode. but now i cant connect to the asus modem itself. and thats whats bugging me the most.
any thoughts as to whats stopping me now?
when i had initially gotten the router, i was able to connect to both even in ap mode

If the Mgmt UI looks like this ASUS Wireless Router RT-N13U - General then set
A: Enable Web Access from WAN? -> Yes
B: Port of Web Access from WAN -> Set the port you wish to use.
C: Respond Ping Request from WAN -> Yes (Optional)

Then to access the AP, use 192.168.1.2:8080 , considering that 192.168.1.1 is the MTNL Modem and 192.168.1.2 is the ASUS RT-N13U AP.

ok so i managed to get it working in ap mode.
but i still cant assign a static local ip to my pc
the mtnl modem is on 192.168.1.1
and the asus is on 192.168.1.3

Why? What's the problem? Just assign 192.168.1.10 to your PC with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and default gateway of 192.168.1.1 Use 208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220 for the DNS servers.
