Guys,

I have an i3-2100, Intel DH67VR mobo build with 4GB RAM that I am in the process of upgrading/selling off to buy a new build altoghther (undecided)

Whichever way I go, I do need a GPU and need to decide which one to buy depending upon my requirements. Please suggest...

Requirements:
  • Video Editing
  • I use Sony Vegas Pro 11 which supports GPU rendering, however not all cards are supported. This is what their website states:
" In fact, Vegas Pro 11 takes advantage of the GPU from any graphics card that provides OpenCL-enabled GPU. That includes many lower-priced graphics cards that make it possible to tap into the power of GPU without spending a lot of money."

So now need a GPU that is OpenCL enabled (whatever that means)

Budget: Between Around 10k (lower the better)

Mobo specs:
One PCI Express* 2.0 x 16 discrete graphics card connector
Two PCI Express 2.0 x 1 connectors
One PCI Conventional bus connector

PSU currently using: Cooler Master 400w

Would appreciate suggestions and advice

If it supports only OpenCL and no Cuda, look for an AMD card. Other than the 750Ti and the newly launched 980/970, NVIDIA cards suck at OpenCL.
