CPU/Mobo Need mother board to use with existing E8400

I need help in buying a new mother board for PC.

Story is I bought the GSkill 4 gigs ddr 3 ram from amazon thinking that my board supports ddr3.I tried the ddr3 with my existing 2 gigs patriot ram.

Later I found that my board Gigabyte GA-Ep31 -DS3L supports only DDR2 1066, FSb 1600 OC 1333mhz ram only and due to this my board got fried and the chipset needs to be replaced.

My processor is E8400 running stock

I have 4 gigs of ddr2 and 1 gskill 4 gigs ddr 3 ram
My budget and requirements are as follows:
Please suggest me which mobo to go and buy in Bangalore or Online wil be using this setup for atleast 2-3 yrs

Budget:

3-4k max

Existing hardware setup:

E8400
4 gigs of ddr2 and 1 gskill 4 gigs ddr 3 ram
Cm 600W PSU
Zebronics cab with side 2 fans one top and one back fan.
160 gb sata
dvd writer sata
graphics card low end
sound card creative

Just would like to inform - either DDR2 or DDR3 will work, not both, when you manage to get a decent LGA775 board.

Actually my board supported only ddr2 and me without knowingly I put both ddr3 and ddr2 chip set spoilt so Need to buy a new board.. I have 4gigs ddr3 and 2*2 gigs ddr2 what to do

If you get a new mobo which supports both, you can use either DDR3 or DDR2, both will not work together. Additionally, you would need to have 1.5V DDR3, 1.35V DDR3 will not work.
