OC & Modding Overclocking Q6600 on DF33FB

Hey guyz.
I was trying to overclock my system after a very long time. Since i have a intel board, overclocking through bios is not possible. So i tried the Tape Mode. In which you put tape on one of the pins and you raise ur speed from 2.4 to 2.99Ghz. I am able to do the same. But as soon as i put load on system, it crashes in like 3-4 minutes.
But others hav managed to to get there system stable. My CPU temperatur never goes above 60 (MAX)
What am i doing wrong ?
What should i be doing ? ANy suggestion ?

If you have been able to overclock and the system is not stable then your processor is not overclockable. This is mostly the answer to your question.

How about trying the program called setFSB?

i tried SETFSB long time back. But to fail.

And what do u mean my CPU cant overclock ? Others with the same model have managed it

Though the speed is getting ramped up by the tape-mod, it is not getting enough vCore.

When I mean not overclockable, it just means that the silicon in your chip cannot run at that high speeds.

If however, other CPU's of the same batch can overclock, then its the fault of your mobo, as asingh said. Check your mod.

Each chip/CPU is different even if same model...!
