If you are getting Panasonic Lumix DMC FS4 with warranty, then it is a cool go. Canon Ixus models are totally waste. They give importance to camera styling than performance.
Canon A1000IS is a perfect model in the same price range. I personally own canon A590IS and Panasonic Lumix LZ8. Both are superb in image clarity and manual controls. But Canon firmware can be updated, while panasonic do not provide firmware updates. But panasonic offers good features for less price.
