point and shoot digicam

Dear Friends,

I have been using Canon Powershot A550 for more than 4 years and would like to upgrade to another digicam. please suggest any value for money point and shoot camera. I would like to emphasize on following:

Better picture and video capabilities
Optical zoom ~ 4X or better (because the present one has same capability)
good battery life (preferably AA battery)
good after sales service

In case you can suggest some dealer in Mumbai who could buyback my existing digicam, it would be great. Any upcoming digicams would also do as i m not in any hurry.

Budget???

first suggestion at the top of my mind is Canon SX120IS ~10K (ebay price)..Video capabilities not too great, 10X optical zoom

Panasonic FZ35 ~17K

more suggestions once you let us know your budget.
 
my budget is around 8K. since i am a casual photographer and the camera will be used on vacations, i think zoom upto 5X is enough for me. also, friends from mumbai may suggest any vendor who can buyback my A550

Sony's DSC w230 is a good camera to buy in this range.

Would suggest you to sell your a550 to some friend or relative as this will fetch you a good price.
