Problem When trying to format

Hi frnds when i was trying to format a system using the XP bootable it is asking me to press any key to continue after pressing enter a blank screen is displayed and there is no progress or response. i tried with another XP cd the problem persists plz help me with this where is the problem

* No error messages are displayed after pressing the enter key blank screen is displayed

K.... try cleaning your RAM and then reinserting it.... If this doesnot workout... try with some other RAM..... As If the problem lies with RAM then you shall have problem with installing OS as well...

K... do this and reply back!!!!

Ya it seems that there is some problems with your RAM..... May there is some difference in clock cycles(If you are using 2 RAM strips)......:eek:hyeah: If yes then just try to install it with single RAM strip at a time:hap2:!!!!!!!!!

Have you done Memory test????
