That's a bit vague on detail. It is possible to apply Hermes V3 patch, but you need to get the hex, which is specific to his model of chip. So you first need to find out what's the model/name of the chip he has.xerocool said:

The way to bypass 3.42 mandatory update is available. The only thing left to check is how many games will it work with.
