Rate the Last Movie You Saw...

Anamorph (2007) - 7/10 - bit slow but decent if you are a fan of thrillers.

A psychological thriller based on the concept of anamorphosis, a painting technique that manipulates the laws of perspective to create two competing images on a single canvas.

Rated R for disturbing grisly images, some violence and language.

Watched recently:

The Piano Teacher 10/10 (could not find anything wrong with the movie.)

Short Synopsis: It's a film about a piano teacher, a woman in late thirties who live with her dominating mother. Attracted by her knowledge of music, a boy falls in love with this teacher, only to discover the other side of this silent woman, where a repressed sexual urge, a suffocating past and musical brilliance concocts into some nasty fantasies.

Goodbye, Dragon Inn 8/10 (2 points cut coz at times it's too slow to be true)

Short Synopsis: A typical Tsai Ming Liang film which uses long shots and almost no dialogues to give viewers a slice of a time where the protagonist is an old, cavernous theatre which is running it's last show. A masterpiece screaming about the death of old-time movie viewing experience and, as it's mandatory with Tsai, urban alienation.

But before some of you rush to torrents to download this movie, be warned that Tsai Ming Liang is the darling of critics and his movies are liked by only those who are willing to look beyond dialogues, special effects, quick shots, a linear story, proper heroin and heroes etc.

The Forbidden Kingdom

There is no way I was gonna miss this one. A movie with Jackie Chan and Jet Li starring side by side. I dont think you will ever get another action Kung fu / wushu movie starring these two actors in the future.

Great movie, Some of the fighting sequences are just amazing.

Must watch movie. Dont miss it.

8/10
