Hey all,

Looking for a Laptop with following features/ constraints :
 • What's your Budget? (e.g. >30K, not more than 50K etc.)

Strictly upto 35K
 • What will be your primary usage for the notebook be? (e.g. web surfing/office apps/Casual Gaming)

Web Surfing + Office Apps + Casual Gaming + Video Encoding once in a while
 • What size and weight considerations do you have? (e.g. Do you want a 17" desktop replacement or you want an ultraportable 12" or something in between)

Greater than or equal to15"
 • Any brand that you prefer, or any brand that you detest? (e.g some would prefer to stay away from Acer or Dell)

Don't want to prefer Acer & HP due to previous sour experiences with both.
 • Any other considerations? (e.g Battery life; Widescreen/non-widescreen; Glossy/Matte screen etc.)

Prefer high battery life - 5-6 hours (I guess only 9 cell battery can offer this much battery life)

Prefer Glossy Screen

Awaiting suggestions..!!

Thanks..!

Asus X53sc -sx536d.

Available at about 36 k, but nothing beats this config at this price range :

i5 2nd Gen, 4 gig ram, 750 Gig HD, Nvidia 520 GT dedicated graphics chip , 15.6 HD glare screen. Killer look. ( only downer is DOS)

Dont think much go for it.

I got it for 35.2 in Mumbai about 1 week ago .

Overheating Issue.

Battery Performance worst of all Brands.

Touch Pad color eroded within 1.5years.

Motherboard Problems

Now I agree, that all these problems are not recurring but Overheating and Battery Issues are well known with HP..!

Hi , you can get Asus X53sc -sx536d.with same price ....if you are in Mumbai , i can get you the Asus X53sc -sx536d. in 35.2 k under bulk buying that I do for organization that my dad works in.

Even if you pay 36 in your city for Asus X53sc -sx536d. , i think its a steal, it future proof til atleast 18 months and additional 250 gig is welcome esp considering sky rocketed price of HDs.
