A bit of a noob question here. I had an HTC Legend and I really got used to its Sense UI but I took it jet skiing like an idiot and damaged it :p I have a Galaxy S now (the first one) but I really can't stand Touchwiz. It's functional but poorly designed and isn't half as pleasing to the eye as Sense UI was.
I hear it's a lot better on the Galaxy S2 but I'm not sure.

Anyway, I was wondering if I could install some custom rom or something like that to get Sense UI on a Galaxy S. I tried Launcher Pro and it was pretty decent but it didn't seem to extend itself beyond the home screens and the app drawer. I'm looking for a complete UI replacement.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Virtually impossible to put Sense UI on Galaxy. Though you can try Go launcher which is a very good launcher. There are tons of customization and lot of themes are available. Also it has many widgets which are also very good. Do try.

Fastest way is to sell Galaxy S and purchase an HTC.

Galaxy S is already with so many bugs with it's own official ROMs, unless you are curious to try new ROMs with bugs the above route is likely to be the easier one.
