Storage Solutions ssd and laptop hdd together

I was thinking about buying the Solid state drive Corsair 60gb force GT version available on ebay for 7.1k..
now i already have a laptop 320gb hdd on my sony vaio VPCEB34EN.
I have read you can use both hdd's together as i am thinking of using the ssd only for windows system files and a few apps.
Does it affect the performance of ssd's?
also any guide as to how to do it?
anybody notice any speed difference when multi-tasking apps(like music player, browser, excel, and a few other office related apps)

You can remove your optical drive and use second hard drive adapter. So you can install sad at native site and hdd at optical drive site.,

^^ That is possible. I was thinking you were trying to add SSD without removing ODD. I am also about to buy a caddy for my Dell XPS 15 to install a SSD.

I think sony laptop comes with eSATA port.

Use SSD as Main Hard Disk for OS and Buy eSATA Casing for HDD and use for Storage, without appreciable loss in performance

I do have an esata port on my laptop...but i think ill prefer the optical drive caddy bay cos i don't want to carry my laptop hdd as a portable.

Also what's the difference between corsair gt series ssd and force series
