Camera Suggestions for DSLR

friends, need advice..

need to buy a gift for my friend's anniversary.....

I need DSLR with HD recording capabilities in max 35K..

it will be used only for family outings....

can i get in this budget..?

Well in budget and considering you would be doing video recording too...Canon 550D is best option for you

i need dslr with HD recording capabilities...recording will be indoor house and family outings..

The auto focus during video recording is not that good with DSLRs you will have to manually focus the lens , and with the shallow dof of dslrs easily subjects go out of focused .

its better to go for a cam coder or a point and shoot for smooth videos if you use AF while shooting

as a member suggested cannon 550d is the best buy at this pricepoint ie <=35k

If you want good HD video recording get the Sony A35 DSLT ,this one has the edge when it comes to AF in videos ,Sony SLT are the only cameras out there which uses Phase detect AF ,unlike other DSLR which uses the contrast detect AF ,it also has a the brilliant sensor.

Apart from that even using the LCD to frame the shot the Sony still focuses much faster then rival cameras,
