Will a RJ11 to RJ45 adapter work for me.

Here's my problem :

I have BSNL broadband connection. It is an ADSL line with RJ11 connector.
Can I use this wire and plug it directly into my DSL modem to access internet.

I am planning to buy Asus RT N16 and I wish to eliminate the use of wired ADSL modem by using the RJ11 to RJ45 cable.

Please tell me if this is possible at ll.

How will you access net without modem? You can eliminate router, but you cant eliminate a modem.

You are right. I was not thinking straight.
So, I have to have an ADSL modem hooked up with the RT N16.
Time to go look for a plain jane wired modem now.
