There are a few there, any recommendations? Something simple and easy to use.
Newpipe, for phones and tabs. BTW if you are willing to pay, why don't you get a subscription and use the native app ?

use this GUI for youtube-dl, if command line is problematic.

Use videoder on Android and IDM on PC and you're all set. Videoder is installed via apk as it isn't present in the play store

YTD video downloader
Look no further than yt-dl if you need to just download them. The current version is not maintained, but works. Look for yt-dlp and other forks. The main issue is poor speeds while downloading, but can be fixed with some python editing.
