Flipkart buys Myntra for $300 mn

Sachin Bansal today said Flipkart has acquired 100 per cent of Myntra. However, both companies will continue to run as separate, independent entities with no change in structure, employees and functioning, he added.

"I have known Mukesh for a long time since we both began in 2007 as small ecommerce companies. Since fashion will be the largest ecommerce category in future, we decided to align forces to offer consumers the best." He did not disclose any other details of the detail.

So Myntra will end up closing and redirecting the users to flipkart.com :rolleyes:. Anyway thought the additional $50 Million Funding from Premji Invest and few other Private Investors has canceled the deal.
 
So, an end to the all year 30-40% discounts on mostly anything on myntra :-/
Flipkart just dont offer any proper discount at all ><

Both will continue to operate separately. I read this in one of the sources mentioned :)
 
:( Had a wonderful experience with Myntra so far. My wife's favorite hunting ground. Excellent deals round the year, and as mentioned above, excellent hassle free returns policy. Hope FK keeps its promise at least this time around and leave Myntra be.
 
Myntra is an awesome online shopping site. Quick delivery, great customer service and those superb return policies.

RIP Myntra. Internet will remember you.
 
Because Myntra is far better than Flipkart. Great offers all year around and superb return policy.
Also, the Myntra points is a nice incentive to keep buying from them.
 
And the Rot has started already at Myntra. Look at various reviews about Myntra over internet and you'll find that most negative reviews have come in last month. My orders at Myntra are festering at Local delivery centre since 3-4 days and no signs of delivery. Customer support is giving pre-formatted standard replies. Never experienced this earlier with Myntra, God knows what will happen if I have to refund an item from my purchases. Earlier they used to be delivered same day on arrival at Delivery centre.

Probably my last purchase with them, RIP Myntra.

Even i never faced any problems with Myntra. The service was always top notch, guess I am spoilt with their great service.
Any way, they still delivered the item within the promised deadline ( which is 6-7 days) and one of the item in order had to be returned which was promptly picked up as always.
