, So my office was geting rid off this workstaion as they are going all laptops, so i thought of amking this my gaming setup, although i am not into full on gaming per say but love to play some games once in a while!!
The setup details are as follows:
CPU : Intel Xeon W3550 @ 3.07 Ghz Bloomfield 45 nm Technology
RAM : 20.0GB TripleChannel DDR3 @ 533MHz
Motherboard : HewlettPackard 0B4Ch
Graphics : 1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 5450 (onboard)
Nvidia Quadro fx1400 (external)
Storage : 1 tb Sandisk ssd + 500gb x 2 WD
OS : Windows 10 pro 64bit
Now the issue with quadro fx1400 is i cant drivers for windows 10 which work properly, this issue seems quite common and everbody is complaning about it.So i would like to go for a new graphic card for medium 1080p gaming.any kind of info will be helpful to me
here are my questions
1. is it a good idea to make it into a gaming setup by adding a new gpu or should i go with console which i can get for around 200 dollars? as i can download games on pc and can avoid those additional costs on a console.
2.is the setup worth making into a gaming rig by investing in a new gpu as its an old workstation ?
3. If its worth what would be the best Gpu for thhis setup for medium gaming on 1080p ?
