Hey guys i stay in Hyderabad and i am a total noob when it comes to inverters, i am looking to buy one so i basically need info about the good brands out there, backup, price so plz help me out here

Hey guys thx for the replying i was looking at Microtek inverter and it come with an Amaron Battery along with an enclosure gives around 5 hrs backup with 2 fans, a PC, 2 CFLs no need for TV thou 
and a Fridge. And the entire thing is costing me 12k including installation so now tell me am i getting ripped off or its a decent deal??? Thanks again for replying.

Thanks again for replying.well when inverter or ups manufactures say about backup time it is under ideal conditions of 27° C with a resistive load.where as ur 2 fans ,pc are all a inductive load so the actual power consumption of those devices may vary unlike a resistive load.

I'm using a Luminous 800VA sinewave inverter with tubular batteries and have been very satisfied with it till now. Try to get tubular batteries, they're much better and also get sinewave inverter. I purchased this for about 17k 8-9 months back. It runs TV, 2-3 fans and 4-5 lights together without a problem. When PC and TV are on at the same time, it's a bit tough on it though.
Thanks man can you do me a favor by breaking down the cost for tubular Batteries and the inverter plus the installation charges.

Go for True Sine wave. But still it cant juice a PC due to the delay while switching. You have to use a UPS to makeup for the delay of less than a sec. So even a low power UPS would work.
Ive been using a Su-Kam Sine wave 1.4KV for past 5 years. No probs till now. Its a 24v inverter with two tubular batteries in series.

i would suggest Microtech only when you have voltage fluctuations .....its hydrabad so i do not think so .....
Regarding your problem i would go with APC 800VA inverter ....i saw it at croma and it was around 6-7K without a battery.....and as stated in the othere posts here it must have a very less dilay when switching from mains to battery power
For batterys go for the ones with 3 year warranty ...i have seen ones from exide and some other as well

well it depends on the load ,if the pc is running at full load and the fans are set at full speed,u will need anywhere b/w 100ah x2 if it runs on 24v or a 200ah battery if it runs on 12v.
a 200ah battery with 4 years warranty around 1200 charge/discharge cycles at 80% discharge state will cost aroun 16k.
but a battery with 3year warranty around 800 charge/discharge cycles costs aroun 13k.
