TE PC Buying Guide July 2010

@op

IMHO it is better to add gaming headphones in high end & ultra high end rigs.
Also, if x-fi titanium can be changed by some other better card from Asus or Auzentech.

In my earlier post I forgot say thanks -- so :thanx: for the exaustive list

Well not listen many but Roccat Kave are a good choice for gaming, other please comment on G35 or Razer ones.
I think Auzentech X-fi forte/HT Omega claro are better choices than x-fi titanium

Very nice work :) !
A Thuban X6+suitable mobo. would be a great alternative for the High End Gaming Rig (Budget 78k).

Looking forward to the next one already. ^^

99% games still uses max four cores only and there is no performance gain of going for Thuban's now. Thanks for the suggestion. If a person is looking for a gaming + running heavily threaded apps then the Thuabn offers excellent value along with the feature rich but much cheaper 890GX mobos.

@All: Thanks for the compliemts guys :)

Awesome Guide. I am trying to build one AMD/Intel using onboard graphics, but unable to get Gigabyte motherboards in Pune. I have tried DCC and Sujata Computers but they do not have this brand. Does anyone know where in Pune will I get Gigabyte motherboards, especially Gigabyte H55M-UD2H or Gigabyte GA-785GMT-USB3

Thanks for the great guide :)

  • I was waiting a long time for the 880G Giga mobos to show up in Indian stores before updating the guide. But it has become a endless wait. The MSI mobo A.S.S is decent but Gigabyte has got the best feedback in TE both on quality and A.S.S front. Choose accordingly.

  • that is strange since I remember seeing a 880G based USB3 Gigabyte Mobo being assembled at McCann Infosys at Lammy about 2-3weeks :S Didn't inquire much since was in a hurry :p
