This new warranty ensures that no matter which region you live in, you have the support that you look for when purchasing an EVGA product. The warranty will no longer belong to the purchaser but instead the product as we believe in the workmanship and quality of our products and we are here to stand behind them.[/font]

[font=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]This new warranty policy will be automatically applied on any products purchased on or after July 1st, 2011.* Under this new warranty policy, all products will have a minimum of 3 years warranty, and registration is now optional.[/font]

[font=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]The warranty is fully transferable. This means that if an end user transfers ownership of an EVGA product to another end user whether via a private sale, or via a second hand online site or auction site, the remainder of the warranty period also transfers to the new owner.[/font]

[font=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]New bonuses will be available for original owners that do register within 30 days of purchase.[/font]

[font=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]EVGA Global Warranty Key Items:[/font]
  • 3 Year Warranty Minimum - All EVGA products will carry a minimum warranty of 3 years.*
  • Warranty is now Transferrable – EVGA Global Warranty will cover the product, not the user. The warranty term starts on the date of purchase if user has invoice, or manufacture date if not.
  • Warranty Upgrades – Warranty upgrades are now available for the original owner upon registration. A 5 or 10 year warranty upgrade is available for a small price.
  • EVGA Step-Up Enhanced – Now the EVGA Step-Up program is available for any EVGA graphics or motherboard product with Warranty Upgrade.
  • Global Warranty Policy – An EVGA product is covered under warranty, no matter where you live. If you purchase a product in another country, you will be served by your local warranty center.
  • Free Standard Cross-Shipping RMA – Basic cross shipping service is now free.**

* Recertified and 1 Year Warranty products are not included.

** A credit card will be required for this service to hold charge in place until EVGA gets the defective product back.

I guess I should shift from AMD to EVGA/nVidia because of eVGA. The thing is that I have done way too much research which shows that there is a good 80% chance that AMD 8970 will crap out the Big Kepler, so have to wait until they at least equal each other in reviews

PS- too bad EVGA dont make cards for AMD.
 
EVGA FTW !! btw, I purchased my card after 1st july 2011 and is also registered on EVGA website. But I have read that the products whose Serial Number ends with -KR will get 3 years limited warranty.
 
Great one Gannu. I bought an EVGA 8800GTX way back in 2006 and my friend is still using it till this day. Sold it in 2009, after getting a GTX 285. It still works flawlessly, and is still quite a beast.
 
Honestly, EVGA's presence in our country sucks! Last I knew Tirupati was the official distri for their GPUs. Not sure if they still are. EVGA needs to improve their footprint in the country.

I think, currently there is no distributor for EVGA products in India. Even EVGA's web-site don't have any Indian distributors listed.
 
EVGA web site states Tirupati and they have most of the mobos and gpus on ebay as of now. Same as how they distribute powercolor.

My next mobo is going to be an EVGA for sure.
 
This is great news.Now you can buy evga parts through your relatives or friends abroad when they return.It's a really good option considering the difference in prices.
 
Unless they have a local distributor/dealer to handle RMA & warranty issues, how will this help? Without local distributor/dealer, you'll have to ship abroad to claim warranty, in which case, there's no difference between eVGA and any other brand.

The only saving grace seems to be 'free cross-shipping'. Is cross-shipping the cost eVGA'll bear to ship the device back to you ? or does that cover both to & fro ?
