Airtel , Idea 3G Tariffs Slashed Up To 70%

Bharti Airtel recently slashed its 3G tariff plans , slashing up to 70% . This has created a price war in the 3G segment , with other operators like idea following the suit .
Airtel has cheapest plans of Rs 10 now which offers 30 minutes of 3G browsing for a day . Other revised tariff plans for Airtel 3G services are -

Now following Airtel , Idea cellular has slashed its 3G tariff plans as well . The new plans are given below -

Other operators are also expected to follow the reduction in 3G tariffs .

The unlimited plan needs better cap, like 10GB or something, and better post cap speeds.

C'mon, atleast 256kbps(usable) after cap.

850 and1250 plans are now costly. It offers 3 and 4GB in place of 6 and 10GB. But validity is increased.

3G will work with your existing SIM. However, craptel will surely bring in complications. I'm getting GPRS vide Failtel Live for the last two weeks inspite of having 1650mb balance in 3G account. Their incompetent personnel will keep on asking the same questions again and again till u give up. They are blissfully ignorant about data plans/settings etc. Online apps do not work, windows marketplace do not open, even bing search is crippled. Everything works fine with wi-fi. Will decide on porting to Vodafone over the weekend.

Yup, 198 bucks, 1GB 3G on Aircel (airtel 98 1GB 2G), 1 month validity, unlitimed post FUP.

Sadly, post FUP 128 kbps

Tata Photon still offers 155kbps, marginally better, that's it,

He is talking about Airtel EDGE, not Aircel.

Aircel 1GB EDGE pack costs Rs. 48.
The Rs.98 recharge gives unlimited EDGE for 30days. This has remained unchanged.

long time back. The existing users were allowed to be on the old plan. New users or those who changed the plan had lower limit.
