still nothing.. guess ill call the ACM India Helpline tomorrow and just ask for a refund :(

anyone has an extra code to share ? need one for the ENG 32bit pro edition, already downloaded the iso using the link given by alekh..

That's because the option is turned off by default. Go to your profile and under General Settings tab, Messaging & Notification, Private Messaging, enable this option:

Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default

Oh and btw posting torrent links for downloading the ISO of the OS is perfectly legal. Or so I was told by the senior moderators here. :p

Contacted ACM international support (acmhelp@acm.org)..

This is what they said -

created a new account just now with my original payment e-mail and this time Dreamspark service and all my account details were there :D just opted in.. :happy:

@those who are facing the same problem, contact their CC and get your old account deleted asap :)
 
I got access to Dreamspark, but not able to find the licensing terms and conditions, just to make that its not a timed-limited licensing , specially for the OS ? As for MS Office installation , we can only do it two times :

You get MS office with ACM member ship?

and the licenese is for a life time but they give you guarntee for 24monthis incase you loose your key and iso within the period you can get it back from msoft without any charge

Hey man, can you post the link for the Windows 7 keys ? I'd any day swap Windows 8 for the 7. Would really love to get the genuine Windows 7 key(s).

That is 7 keys for Windows Vista, not Windows 7 keys :p

BY the way Microsoft is giving downgrade right from Windows 8 to windows 7
Downgrade rights -- which let customers replace a newer version of Windows with an older edition without paying for two copies -- are available only in Windows 8 Pro. That fits with previous practice: Only Windows 7 Professional, for instance, was allocated downgrade rights.

Holy cow. What has happened to me.

On another note, that downgrade thing looks promising. Let me call these guys tomorrow to check what this is all about.

But it clearly states that only OEM copies are downgradable
Retail versions of win 8 pro omitted this

I made a web account and opted in for Microsoft DreamSpark Premium Software Program(*) Free Software for ACM Student Members.

Anything else i have to do?
