I had been lusting after a Droid DNA since the day it was released. Was very keen on getting the Oppo Find 5 but realized that buying the first (serious) mobile phone from a BluRay player manufacturer would require a lot of courage. Also, the Droid DNA was available almost immediately after it was announced. Hence decided to get one.
I don't know ANYONE in India who has one, but I am sure a few may have been imported for personal use.
It was a big gamble to import this phone, since no one really knew how it would fare on India's 3G networks. I took the risk and imported it. It can even be activated on Reliance since it is actually a CDMA phone with a sim slot for the GSM. Call it a world phone or whatever you may.
Let me say this in ONE word. This phone is a f^&kin' BEAST. No words can describe the majestic screen or the butter smooth animations. Sense is debloated in a very very good way. Not at all intrusive and has quite a few useful things. I love the skin and fact that they have high resolution icons for this FULL HD screen.
Basically, it's ALL about the screen. This phone has the best screen I have ever witnessed. Period.
Coming to the other aspects of the phone, the design is just fabulous. HTC's designers have done a very good job at making the phone look tasteful, have a huge ASS screen AND be very easy to handle. The slim profiles and curved shape (towards the edges) make the phone a handsome guy and it's really worth seeing in flesh. Most photos on the internet make it look boring, or make the red accents look over the top, but see the photos below to feast on how pretty the phone looks and how thin it actually is.
Oh and did I mention??? The screen is MAGNIFICENT! :hail:
A few screenshots of the phone and it's interface, camera viewfinder (with the indisposible and unique SLOW MOTION video option) and quadrant score, followed by body shots and finally, shots of that 1920 by 1080 5 inch beauty. Also seen here is the beautiful case I ordered with the phone that converts into a stand. This is none of that made in China stuff case. It's a SOLID guy with a chunky grip and very teutonic feel about it. The stand is versatile AND quite slim, hence not adding much to the weight of the device not making it bulky.
