Google LG Nexus 4 Pre Order, 8GB - Rs.21728/- & 16GB - Rs.25490/-

My exact reason for creating the thread was to avoid the confusion.

But that is just PPO Box. It would be nice to have info from other services too.

Raul... seller hasn't mentioned return policy... So would buying Nexus 4 from him would be a wise choice?
Seller is getting positive feedback from users who have purchased Nexus 4 from him. It seems, he is genuine seller. I am wondering, how he managed to import that big amount of phones :O Cool..

My 2 x Nexus 4 s have cleared customs and here is the exact cost break up - @prime

2 x Nexus 4 = Rs 40386.71
International Shipping (HopShopGo) = Rs 1,640.62
Customs + Fedex handling charge = Rs 3214 (Rs 2876 + Rs 338) - Declared Value - 737.6 USD, Assessable Value - Rs 41088 and duty at 7%.

Total = Rs 45241.33 or Rs 22621 per phone! :)

So @prateekS, you can definitely get it way below 25k which itself is impossible as per you! :p

Guys bought the nexus 4 yesterday from ebay.in... received it today... after receiving it called the seller and told him that the seal is broken and the scratch guard isnt there on the front screen... seller said "if you want another nexus we can send you or we can even give a refund but you need to send us the nexus 4 back... " i am pretty frustated now... when i had called him yesterday after ordering the cellphone he had told me that i would receive a sealed packed nexus 4... what should i do now guys? how much it would cost me to send the phone back from Thane to Indore? Never shipped anything in my life before... and which is the most reliable courier service and cheap? Please help me... would never buy anything again from ebay... :(

Sorry to hear that! Did the eBay link mention that it would be a sealed pack? If there was no such mention, I don't suppose there's much you can do here. Does the device look like a used piece? If not, why not save all the hassles and get a scratch guard applied from a local mobile shop? The device can be shipped using an insured courier service from Blue Dart, Aramex or DTDC. But do pass the dealer an appropriate feedback!

@Hades. - If it wasn't mentioned in the eBay listing that it would be a sealed pack, then as @Gannu said you won't be able to do much. But if the seller is fine with returning the item, then you can open a eBay Guarantee claim (inform the seller first), a claim adjuster will call you and the seller. The claim adjuster may even set up a conference call. If the seller agrees, you can return the item for a full refund or replacement, eBay will even reimburse your return shipping cost. If the seller used eBay PowerShip to ship the item, then eBay will arrange a reverse pickup free of cost.

Off-topic regarding PPOBox. Just opened new account with them. I created a new package ID by entering all details. The problem is I cannot view this package ID in "My Shipments" section :(. But guys at PPOBox can view them fine. They say some system problem and are trying to resolve it. Anyone having the same issue?

Varkey Gannu.... i would once again contact the seller tomorrow before shipping the cellphone back to him... varkey if i ship the cellphone using bluedart, would a bluedart guy come at my home to pickup the shipment? Pardon my ignorance but i never shipped anything to anyone before :(

I did check the listing and it specifically said "Vendor Sealed" not "Factory Sealed" or anything similar.

Well, if you try to ship a phone through BlueDart without an account with them they will charge you exorbitant rates, in the range of 1-2k even after including insurance etc. Do you really think its worth the hassle for a small issue like this? All phones would've been opened during customs clearance and if you don't see any signs of usage I suggest you keep it.

Exactly my point here. If the device does not show signs of any usage, why send it back? The consignment might have been opened by the customs officials and not by the vendor.

Don't send it back. Rather ask the seller to send you a screen guard via courier. You already have the phone. If its without any issue don't send it back.

ok... :(... yesterday i had opened bluedart website to check how much would be the shipping cost to ship the phone from Thane to Indore and the cost was around 456

Gannu i totally agree with you... But in my opinion someone had used this phone for quite sometime... i am saying this coz when i had received the phone the finger prints was all over the phone... and another thing is that if the custom people would have opened the package i would have received the package in slightly different condition but the packaging was intact... lets say someone opened the package at customs to check whats inside the box and this has happened with people who have imported the cellphones from U.S also but my point here is that just to check whats inside the box nobody would go ahead and remove the front screen guard... I follow this thread religiously and i have seen ppl saying that "their shipment had been opened at the customs by custom officers and after checking they sticked a sticker stating that opened by custom officer and something like that ( in my case there was no sticker on the box stating the same)" nobody said that he/she received a phone with missing front screen guard... As you mentioned above i know i would have to go through the hassle of shipping the phone back and stuff but the thing is that atleast after shipping the phone back i would have peace of mind... and the thing is that i haven't even used the phone extensively what if a major issue crops up after using the phone for a while which i am unaware of... i wouldn't be able to return the cellphone back at that time... and i would just start cursing my self that i should have returned the phone back when i had a chance... :(
