Hi there is it a crime here to bargain?
If YES.
Then ya I'm committing a crime and ban me but I think it's my right to ask if the seller can provide the item for a lesser price....
And for ur info I'm not a old user I'm a new member who loves to buy gadgets and stuff

There is no reference to which thread you are referring to or anything more.
Please provide some more relevant information.

You love gadgets and stuff but have you read the rules of the market section? I quite doubt that going by the previous posts of yours.

Proxy bumps are against the rules of the forum. And openly lowballing on the market threads is inciting trouble.

Posting what I had posted on your intro thread:

But openly lowballing in the market threads is not considered a good practice and you should not do it. If a price reduction is warranted, pass on the point but politely and backed up with sufficient proofs as to why you feel the price is high. If the seller was ignorant of the recent pricing, this will update them and the buyers as well.

Not only do sellers get offended when members spam around in their sale threads (most may ignore it considering it as a free bump), they have already blacklisted the guy in their minds and wouldn't sell them anything in the future.

Please keep this in mind.

I think it's my right to ask if the seller can provide the item for a lesser price....

In a polite way that doesn't offend them. Better still, send them a PM asking them if they are willing to reduce the price. But do not openly lowball on the sale threads.

Enough of your hindi movie crappy dialogue rants, when a sale thread clearly states " NOT NEGOTIABLE " yet you make an un realistic offer & even after getting declined, you yet shamelessly reply back.

which part of " NOT NEGOTIABLE " you do not understand ????????

Bargain is not a crime, nowhere, in general.

But when Sellers have already mentioned that they do not wish to negotiate the price, still than, interested members keeps giving them offers with reduced prices (More than 1 time), will for sure bother them. It's their product and their price, at their discretion. As a buyer, one can for sure state an offer to seller. And as a seller, one can accept an offer or reject it. If buyers have their own reasons for bargaining price, sellers can have their own reasons for their set selling price.

If selling price set by any seller is unreasonably high, There are many ways to inform the same to seller, as Gannu has stated. And TE being a place of tech knowledgeable peeps. Sale thread with unrealistic and unreasonably high prices will sure get attention.

Though I have my suspicions if you are indeed a newbie like you claimed then here's a tip: if you want to quote a ridiculous price then do so by PRIVATE MESSAGE. Keep calm and don't piss off the seller/s.
@mods it would be good to restrict market activities. Don't give them the feature to post in sale section. Only allow them to view the threads.

That would restrict genuine buyers from trading at all. There are a lot of members who use the forums purely for personal sales. That's absolutely fine as long as they follow the rules.

true but we also have PM feature. Personally I mostly use PM.

I guess OP is assuming TE like olx or quikr or similar sites where majority of people just troll and lowball on every item.
