hey guys i am planning to buy a 32in led hd/fhd tv and a gaming laptop for myself...
actually what's in my head is that i will connect the laptop to the tv and play movies and games on it...
so my question is will i be able to do that?
like when playing games and movies i want the TV screen and speakers work and laptop speakers and screen should be turned off mode(games should run)
i have read somewhere when playing games on big screen in good resolution, frames rates becomes very sh!tty!!!is it true???how much capacity of graphic card is required in playing latest games in good resolution????is 2 gb dd3 enough?or 1 gb ddr5?

if in some some condition i will not be able to play games or movies on tv.....which console should i go for?ps3 or x box?i will play all type of games...cr@acked games wise which console is better?whose games data is usually is smaller?thanks

1. You should be able to connect your laptop to TV via HDMI. You will get sound in TV speakers. Just select HDMI audio as the default audio device.
2. You will be playing games at 1920 x 1080 (full HD resolution). The refresh rate you will get depends on the graphics card of your laptop, the game itself and in game resolution and effects settings. tell us more about your laptop and we might be able to help you.
3. RAM is not that big a factor in graphics card. You should see the model of processor. Anyways i doubt that you will be able to change the graphics card of your laptop.

If you're laptop is incapable of pulling full HD resolutions, then the frame rates would definitely take a hit. I have been playing on my Bravia 42 inch LED for close to 6 months now. It's an HDMI connection from my PC's graphic card (GTX560Ti) straight to my TV. I have no lag, drop in frame rates or any other issues. In fact, it looks much more vibrant than my PC's monitor.

thanks for the reply...
by selecting HDMI audio as the default audio device on the laptop, will i be able to hear the audio only through tv speakers? i mean how can i hear the audio running on laptop on the tv but the audio should not be heard through laptop speakers?and what about the video?i have heard some people saying playing games simultaneously on two displays drops the frame rates so i want the video only to be playable on my tv screen. the laptop i am going to use is asus g75,g55,lenevo y500,y580 and dell xps 15....thanks

I have 2GB GDDR5 GT-650M + 2GB GDDR5 GT-650M in SLI. Haven't tried it on my LED TV.... Must be around 50",will games lag? And fps drop?

Yes

Select Primary screen as TV. In options selected mirrored or something and not extended. In extended mode, you can have 2 displays and in mirrored mode both screen will have same image.

As i said earlier, the FPS depends on the game, the resolution selected, and in game display effects like anti aliasing, vsync, etc. etc. best way to find out is to connect and see for your self. what is the worst that could happen?
