I dont know about others but I am not at all liking this and am restricting my usage of TE only to PC. Many users have paid for tapatalk only for using forums like TE. Its like mocking a fool out of them....
And why not allow access to the forum on both the TE app and on Tapatalk.... Let the users decide which is better for them......

Dont forget RIM was a giant just a few years back and today they are on the verge of extinction....

I echo your thoughts. But I got the app to use it other forums also.

I dont like it but I can take it on the chin.

Will the TE app be also updated. TT4 has been released and I definitely prefer to use that over TT2. So will the TE app alao see a new release on the lines of TT4.

TE is not the only forum we browse. the apps are used for others forums as well.
why use a diff app for only te when we have a good integrated app which allows is to browse many other forums.....
anyways you are giving it for free and there are no ads for members (as i understand) then what are you gaining by forcing users to use your app?.... motive?

I mean this is really pathetic. I had 22 "likes" 3 days before, today when I log in I have 2 more likes but my total likes are reduced to "13".

This forum probably has more people/threads in the "Sale" section that in other sections. There is zilch content creators and now this.

I mean if you want to earn money from a forum, encourage content creation, I mean all of you Mods/Banned/SuperMods are tech enthusiasts right. Write articles, link them, do some youtube videos. People will look, they will share and you will earn money.

For pretty pennies that you "can" earn, you have delinked from Tapatalk and made your own App (although free but still has ads). And for what, a paltry user base of 500~600. Sheer arrogance.

I am done here. Over and out..

Not sure what your rant is about. A member with a 104 post count giving a lecture on how to run a forum seems a bit out of place. If the forum is so pathetic then I suggest you either help improve it or move on.

If you have trouble with the TE app you can report it. If a registered members is seeing ads in the app then they need to clear their cache and relogin.
 
I don't think we need to justify which forum software, plugins or settings we are supposed to run on TE.

Anyway users who have already added TE to their tapatalk app will be able to use it now. We will not be adding TE to tapatalk network.

Wow.. so the staff has actively disabled access to TE from tapatalk and is forcing everyone to use the TE app separately.
And when asked about it, the justification is "We don't answer to you, so move along".

The advantage of having access in tapatalk was the aggregation of forums we regularly use in one app.
Obviously the staff sees some value in having a separate app, but if you would consider enabling tapatalk access, it would help a lot of users.
This is a BIG concern as the 4 page thread has enough examples asking for access from tapatalk.

TE is one of the better forums I've seen. This sort of "closing up" and restricting access can lead to some users who are not aware of the benefits of this forum to lose out. I hope the staff reconsiders.

Nobody is forcing you to use the TE app. You are free to browse the website through a web browser on your PC, tablet or mobile. What you are calling a justification is not that either, so no point twisting words. We don't intend to support tapatalk at all, not even the TE mobile app. The only reason we have the TE app is just to give a mobile option to users who are keen on using an app.

However, as xtremevicky has already pointed out, TE is still inaccessible through Tapatalk. And yes, I already have TE added to my TT app.

True, nobody is forcing me to use the TE app, its still available via browser. However, this post is regarding how the access from Tapatalk has been disabled, which was previously available. The "forcing" is coming from the limitation of not being able to configure it on tapatalk.

Ok, its not even a justification, (as you yourself have said) but I don't believe I have changed the meaning of what you said by one bit.

We thank you for your efforts in recognizing the need for a separate mobile app and developing it, but humbly ask you not to restrict a functionality which was present earlier (The benefits of which is clearly needed by all those posting in this thread.) Enabling this might actually take away your need for maintaining the mobile TE app, which as I understand by your post is what you would want as well.

We dont even want any support or additional tweaks for TE on TT. But why block it????
And if post count is your justification for arguing over some improvement in TE then dude this is plain arrogance. Technically members may not have the say in what plugins, blah blah etc you use but dont forget its only bcoz of members that this site has the value it has.... With no members even the staff wont logon to see whats happening here.... so please be anything but not arrogant...
And the whole fuzz is about the same thing that when you are not showing any advt and you are not keen on providing support to any mobile app why block TT???
Atleast sell us the idea so we are not in the confusion why this was done.... Like if you remember I had asked yoiu about the ads which are shown on the top of the latest post we read.... I did not like the placement but I accepted it gladly after a reason was given...

Again, please do not twist words to justify your argument. Request you to re-read what he said in his post below. How is accusing that we have blocked Tapatalk to earn money related to suggesting improvement on TE? Post count is certainly not a criteria for suggesting improvement to the user experience.
